About Me:

Born in good ol' B'town as a surprise third child for Claudine & William and a new brother for Alice & Bill. Started playing guitar (like millions of other kids) immediately after seeing the Beatles on Ed Sullivan! Started a band with paper route helper and best bud, Glen Fiscus who taught me how to play guitar. Glen was a very talented guitarist, so when it came time for someone to play bass - I made the switch.

I went on to play in various garage/basement bands with Steve "Wonder" (not yet "Westside") Simmons during high school. We went on to form The Rats in 1971 while attending the University of Akron as we joined up with 3 Norton grads . . . Bob Wallace, John "Shoes" Shumacher and John Marsek. Our game plan was simple . . . lots of Stones and Alice Cooper. We honed our skills clubs like (the infamous) Fat Alberts in Loyal Oak, The Basement in Medina, The Corral in North Olmstead and numerous high school dances! Somehow I graduated with a secondary education degree (on the 5-year plan) and went on to substitute teach in Akron and Barberton - helping to turn many of you into the upstanding citizens that you are today! Easy Street was formed in 1976 when Shoes left and we added Robin and Gary to the band. I left the band somewhere around 1983-84 and actually managed the band for a year or so. I sold commercial Audio/Video gear till 1988.

Over those years I lived in apartments (or houses) in Firestone Park, Kenmore, Goodyear Hts, North Hill and Barberton. I got in the computer biz in 1988. I started my own company called the Source (sourcesys.com) in Twinsburg in 1995. The Source is an Authorized HP Sales and Service Center. Bought a house in Macedonia in 1990, got married, raised my ex's daughter Stephanie and had a daughter named Alexandra. Got divorced in 1998 and bought a condo in Hudson where I live today.

My Best ESB Memory:

Too many to list . . . . but . . . here are a few . . .

The WMMS 1982 Coffee Break Concert - terrifying, but very cool to play live on the radio.

The 2002 Crooked River Festival Concert - that stage was very cool, killer lights, we had a great turnout and we played well . . . on a perfect summer night.

Visiting the Drew Carey set and meeting the cast.

When I'm not with ESB I am:

Listening to music, hangin with my kids, suffering with the Cleveland sports teams or relaxing with my sweetie Becky.
.

I would like to say:

I am a very lucky man that was able to play music for a living because of the support from our unbelievably loyal fans and the incredibly talented musicians who surrounded me.
